Hello everyone, I have been playing Warhammer for over ten years now and it saddens me to say that I still haven't painted a full squad before. I have won painting contests and am fairly good at painting, but for some reason I haven't been able to finish a squad.
I am entering my 3 week Christmas break with a 1,000pt tournament shortly after returning. My goal is to have my 1,000pt Tyranid army of 74 models fully painted and based. I am using this forum and youtube to show my progress and to keep me motivated.
Pics will be coming soon if anyone has any feedback it would be greatly appreciated...

Hq - Tervigon
Elite - The Doom in a Mycetic Spore
Troop - 30 Termagaunts
Troop - 20 Hormagaunts
Fast - 20 Gargoyles
Heavy - Trygon Prime
Total of 74 models and is 1,000pts (some units have upgrades)
I am planing to do all of the models in the order they are shown too, and am working on the Tervigon now.

I have Genestealers, but they just don't seem to be that great in 6th ed. I am planning on trying them out again though. My main goal in this is to provide targets for my opponents while my teammate kills stuff, and in a small army Genestealers just take up too many points.

Sorry it took so long to get this up but I ran into some camera problems and this is the only picture I have right now. This is a picture of a completed Hormagaunt. I chose a simple green colour scheme with more of a bone colour for the armour. I think that the orange for the toxic really stands out with these colours making the model pop. I will hopefully get more pictures up soon... Attachments:
