I started to make this trench the other day. I used 3mm hard board for the base and 20mm foam to make the sloping ground. This is the verry first step and I will be updating this as I move along. I would like to know what other people use for bacing there terrain, I like the 3mm board because it can be sanded down to an edge that blends with the game board well. Attachments:

So I have gotten some more work done on the trench. I painted the base so to help prevent warping. I put two coats of white glue on the foam to protect it when i paint it. The trench supports are 3mmx3mm and 3mmx.9mm. I am going to put a floor to the trench but i have to put texture down first Attachments:
