rough cut outs of the what are going to be capillary towers.

he you can see that i have used a hot foam cutter to take down the corners to give it a bit more shape.

here i have smoothed out most of the towers by sanding them down slightly.

i used a foam cutter to carver out the cracks on the carapace

here i have carved out the inner fleshy parts of the carapace arm
